The sale runs from Sunday, Feb. 18 through Saturday, March 3 and will be available at retailers including GameStop, Walmart, Best Buy, and Target in the US.
Good news for those of you who have been thinking about getting into virtual reality gaming. Sony just announced plans to bring back its PlayStation VR holiday deal for a limited time, making your foray into virtual worlds a lot more affordable.
Starting Sunday, Feb. 18, the company will knock $100 off the price of PS VR bundles and headsets, bringing them as low as $199.99. That includes the PS VR Gran Turismo Sport bundle, which normally sells for $299.99 and includes a physical copy of the racing game plus a PlayStation VR headset and PlayStation Camera.
The promotion will be available at retailers including GameStop, Walmart, Best Buy, and Target in the US through Saturday, March 3, so you’ll have almost two weeks to mull it over.
Fans of the Doom series will be able to snag the PS VR Doom VFR Bundle, regularly $399.99, for $299.99. Meanwhile, the PS VR Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR Bundle, which normally sells for $449.99 and includes two PS Move controllers and the core game plus add-ons, among all the other goodies, will drop to $349.99.
“This deal comes at such an exciting time for PS VR, with recent launches such as The Inpatient and Accounting +, and upcoming titles like Moss, Bravo Team, and more,” PlayStation Marketing VP Mary Yee wrote in a blog post. “There are more than 150 games and experiences available that are compatible with PS VR, and more than 130 highly anticipated games and other entertainment content expected to launch by the end of this year.”
PS VR earned an excellent rating in PCMag’s review, “Virtual reality is still a technical novelty you need to be committed to before you spend the cash, but PlayStation VR stands out in price and ease of use,” we wrote.
