Swipe today also launched a smartphone that is small on price, small in size yet big in features: Swipe KONNECT Star 2017 successor of KONNECT Star launched in 2016. The handset comes bundled with a VR headset made out of cardboard, which can be used to slide the phone inside and view VR content. This newly launched smartphone is available at ShopClues at Rs. 4,499/-.

The device comes with a price tag of Rs 4,499 and will be available exclusively from ShopClues starting from today. The Swipe Elite VR also comes pre-loaded with SwiftKey keyboard by Microsoft that enables communication in 10 regional languages, and over 180 global languages.

Talking about the cameras, there is a 13MP sensor on the rear with LED flash and a 5MP sensor on the front for selfies and video calls. “With the help of Swipe ELITE VR and the accompanying VR lens, consumers will get enthralled with its immersive experience, be it watching cricket, movies or playing gaming”. In addition, this dual-SIM 4G VoLTE smartphone comes with a SwiftKey Keyboard that offers support for many regional languages.

Soon after launching the Konnect Power smartphone in the Indian market, Home-grown mobile phone manufacturer Swipe Technologies on Tuesday expanded its budget smartphone portfolio with the launch of an entry-level smartphone, called the “Swipe Elite VR” in the Indian smartphone market.

All connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, 3G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are present except Global Positioning System. The smartphone is priced at Rs 3,333.

In terms of specifications, the smartphone features a 4-inch display. The smartphone is being offered in Black, Grey, Gold, and Red colours. The 4G-enabled dual SIM Elite VR is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery. The Konnect Star 2017 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and Indus OS. The smartphone is powered by a Quad-core processor clocked at 1GHz with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. On the camera front, the smartphone comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front camera.
